*** Tonight is parent teacher conferences. Students in grades 9-11 please remind your folks to stop and see your homeroom advisors to review your pre registration for next year’s classes.
***HS students – please let Mrs. Hernandez know by 1:30 tomorrow if you are interested in:
1) going with her to the Women in Construction luncheon on March 4th (girls only)
2) going with her to the Criminal Justice open house at the National Guard Armory on March 6th
3) if you would like a pass for the electrician info session here at FCHS on March 20th.
***Seniors – only one week to go and there are only two applications submitted. The comprehensive local scholarship application packet is due by 3:30 next Wednesday 2/25.
***Juniors – applications for Jr Law Cadet, Boys State, and Girls State plus an updated resume are due to Mrs Hernandez by the end of the day next Monday 2/23 if you would like to be considered for any of those leadership opportunities.
***Peer tutors and HS TAs who will be serving as mentors next week for Inventure Day please report to the high school guidance office tomorrow (Thursday) during homeroom for training.
***Do you have a talent..perhaps a unique talent…that you’ve always wanted to put on stage and share with the world? The Variety Show is the place to do that. “Variety” is the idea and we’ve had everything from trained rabbits to glow-in-the-dark numb chuck demonstrations to stand up comedy, along with some great dance and musical acts. The show is at the end of next month so get your act planned and sign up in the band room or find a Band Officer. In the fine tradition of Coach Meyer, Coach Smith, Mrs. Boeka and Mrs. Triplett, Mr. Bentley and many others including of course Dr. Johnson,…faculty are encouraged to share their perhaps “unknown talents” as well; the community will love it! PERFORMANCE DATES ARE MARCH 28 AND MARCH 29.
