Cheerleader’s Car Wash Rescheduled
Come Support the Kid’s Club and the Fort Calhoun Fire Dept.

Thursday, August 9th, Kid’s Club is having their 2nd annual lemonade stand. This year they will have lemonade, snow cones, and baked goods. They will be in front of the fire station from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. They are only asking for donations and all proceeds will be given to the Fort Calhoun Volunteer Fire Department. Last year the kids collected over $100! Please help them read their goal of over $200 this year.
Fun Day for Students
On Monday, students at Fort Calhoun Junior Senior High were treated to a day of fun to end the school year. They rotated through activities including a trip to Fort Atkinson and the Washington County Museum, a scavenger hunt, and a movie. They also enjoyed games of Knock-Out and Cornhole. Thank you to everyone who helped organized this fun event.

Elementary Field Day
It was a beautiful day for Field Day at Fort Calhoun Elementary on Friday, May 4th. Students enjoyed rotating through the different events such as Three Legged Race, Water Dash, and a Relay Race. The day ended with the traditional tug-a-war with the 6th graders and the teacher. This year, the teachers won!

Congratulations to Abigail Nelson who is this year’s Two Rivers Bank Scholarship winner!
The requirements for the Twin Rivers Scholarship were to plan to attend a four-year college or university, have a minimum GPA of 3.25, and an ACT score of 20 or higher. They were looking for someone who has academic achievement, positive citizenship, and leadership in school and community activities. Abi is planning to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University in the fall with an undecided major.
Congratulations to the Art Show Winners
On Wednesday, April 18th Fort Calhoun hosted the conference art show. Students from Arlington, DC West, Syracuse, Ashland-Greenwood, Raymond Central, Platteview, and Fort Calhoun participated in the event. Students were led through an art activity and submitted artwork into a juried show.
