Teen Night was a huge success! Students had a blast and we received many compliments about how well they behaved. Go Pioneers!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are excited to announce Teen Night at the Blair YMCA on Friday, March 22nd! This event promises to be a fun-filled evening for our teenagers, with activities and opportunities for them to socialize in a safe and supervised environment. To make things even more convenient, we have arranged transportation to and from the event.

The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the bus departing from Fort Calhoun Jr/Sr High at 5:30 PM and returning at 9:30 PM. Please ensure that your teen arrives on time to catch the bus.

The cost of the event is free for members and $10.00 for nonmembers.  The school has graciously agreed to pay $5.00 so that the student admission to the event is only $5.00 out of pocket.  

We are also seeking volunteers to chaperone this event. If you are willing to lend a helping hand and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, please let us know. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The flyer says 6th-8th graders however, we are only taking Junior High students this year.

Our Dance team earned a bid to Nationals at camp this past summer. This allowed them to attend the National Dance Team Competition (NDTC) in Orlando, Florida Feb. 2nd-4th. They entered into the Varsity Intermediate category for their Pom and Hip Hop dances.

For Pom, there were so many teams that they had to have prelims, semi-finals, and finals. They take half of the amount of teams to move on from each category. Our team competed in prelims Saturday night and advanced to the semi-finals Sunday morning. Unfortunately, they did not advance to finals but they did place 13th in the nation for their Pom dance. 

With it being their first year attending the NDTC, we are very impressed with the outcome. Great job Ladies!

Drafting students took a trip to BVH Architectural recently.  Students learned about many different aspects of the Industry, what type of schooling they would need to obtain a job, and the different jobs that utilize design, blueprints, and renderings. Students did a hands-on project with employees, and had to be in charge of a build, and interact with different processes within a typical design/build.
