This is the first time in recent history that Fort Calhoun had a first place runner in all 4 races. Come out and support the team at our Home meet on September 24th at Fort Atkinson at 4:30 p.m.
Our New Front Door
The Fort Calhoun Jr/Sr High has a new front door and address. Our new address is 5876 County Road P43, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023. If you are traveling to school in a vehicle you will need to proceed past the old parking lot around the curve to our new entrance on P43. As you pull into the parking lot please take an immediate right hand turn, at that time you may turn left at any of the next three opportunities to park your vehicle. If you are dropping off a student please continue to the last left hand turn and proceed toward the school dropping your student off at the curb. Proceed to the very end and turn left to exit the parking lot.
If you are walking to school please use the new gate south of the goal post located by the sidewalk on 15th street. Once inside the track walk past the grandstand and take the sidewalk up to the school and continue around the building to the front entrance.
There are two important items to remember. Number one: Please do not walk around the curve on P43 to get to the school. Number two: No one is allowed to walk into the construction zone.
We are looking forward to having everyone back and are anticipating some new experiences. See you soon.
Girl’s Basketball Fundraiser Success
The Fort Calhoun Girls set up a bake sale during the Corporate Cycling Challenge on Sunday August 16th. The cyclists were traveling 42 miles round trip, the Fort Calhoun City Park was their half way mark. We offered them a variety of goods from muffins, homemade granola bars, cookies and fruit. They came hungry and helped us triple our sales from last year! We also had several members of the community stop by for a Sunday morning treat.

Earth Day Clean Up
Each year, the 3rd and 4th graders volunteer to clean up their school yard for EARTH DAY. They were asked to bring rakes, brooms, dust pans, and gloves from home and Mr. Neumann supplied us with the large black bags to fill. The weather was perfect for the classes to work outdoors. They all worked very hard and the result made them all very proud. There was a large pile of full black bags that were picked up by Mrs. Kulus which she will use for her compost pile. Thank you 3rd and 4th graders for making our school beautiful. Happy Earth Day!!
