Elementary Music
At Fort Calhoun Elementary, the students in kindergarten through sixth grade have general music class twice a week for 30 minutes. Through a wide variety of activities and games, which include singing, playing instruments, speech and movement, students will experience musical concepts and develop musical skills. In addition, students will gain knowledge of teamwork, social skills, history, culture, and much more in a fun and active environment.
Along with their weekly classes, the Fort Calhoun Elementary students also put on two performances a year, one each semester. The programs include the entire school and take place at the high school gym. These performances are a great opportunity for the students to demonstrate to their families and friends what they have learned and are accomplishing in music. This years dates are below;
Thursday November 7th, 2013 – Concert starts at 7pm
Monday April 28th, 2014 – Concert starts at 7pm
