Spanish teacher Anita Saalfeld led a trip to Spain and France from June 6-15 with Fort Calhoun students and graduates Luke Gustafson, Avery McKennan, John McKennan, Riley McKennan, Morgan Shaner, Anna Taylor, and Kaylee Taylor. The tour included various sites around Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris, with short visits to Toledo and Zaragoza. Some of the sites the group visited included the Spanish royal palace, cathedrals in Toledo, Zaragoza, Barcelona, and Paris, Parque del Retiro in Madrid, Parc Guell in Barcelona, and the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Students were able to see original art and architecture by artists such as Goya, el Greco, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, and Gaudí, as well as many other important cultural and historical landmarks.
